Are You At Peak Performance?

peak performance time

Operating on Peak Performance is Essential For Success

Trying to get things done when your mind just isn't into it is a recipe for disaster.

If you're feeling sluggish, tired or just not motivated, it's going to take a massive effort to either find the groove or get the job done.

Getting what needs to be done during your peak performance time is critical to working effectively and getting things done that need to be done.

You probably have a clue to when you are at peak performance state.

You've told people, "I'm a morning person", or "I'm a night owl". You're probably right.

For me personally, I like to stay up late at night to get things done, but I'm at peak performance in the early hours of morning.

You have to figure out the times that you are most effective and focused.

For me, It's about half an hour after I wake up (4:30AM) to about 9AM.

During this time, the creative juices flow and I can really crank out some really good writing.

At night (like right now - it's 9PM), I still can put together excellent work, but I get sidetracked a lot more. Perhaps the music isn't right, and I'm messing with the Auto DJ in Mixxx, or the kids aren't asleep yet, or wifey still need my attention... Essentially, I get pulled away from focusing on these thing that need to be done, and it's hard to have to stop and start back up 10 to 20 times.

Now, this isn't to say that I can't get anything else done either.

Quite the contrary, I get a lot done every day, but the peak performance time is my time to do the most critical of things.

Schedule all of your daily activities that need your full, undivided attention during this peak performance time. It's imperative that you use this time to get things done because the rest of the day is most likely going to be full of interruptions and bright shine objects that have you "squirreling" your time away.
